At Gidley Elementary, 4.5 acres of the school campus will be redesigned to support outdoor learning and play for around 450 students. The project will plant 79 new trees and remove heat-absorbing asphalt. Improvements include five outdoor classrooms with native gardens and stormwater features, shaded seating for families, and a looped walking path with trees around half of the play field.
