The Shirpser Living Schoolyard will improve 3.37 acres across the campus and serve about 500 students. Plans include 62 new trees, five outdoor classrooms with native plants and stormwater gardens, shaded seating in the parent waiting area, new nature play features in the kindergarten yard, and a tree-lined loop path circling the main play field.
Work is underway at Shirpser. These photos show the yard as the new trees, outdoor classrooms, and nature play areas take shape. We expect the schoolyard to be ready for students later this year.
